Also, it strives to curtail the hazardous growth of factories. To complete the Tamil Nadu Factory Registration and to obtain a factory license you need to follow three steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Get plan approval and permission to construct or extend a building as a factory<\/li>\n<li>Registration of Factory<\/li>\n<li>Get a license under the Factories Act<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h4>Eligibility Criteria<\/h4>\n<p>Factories in which ten or more workers are employed with power being used in the manufacturing process and factories that are engaging twenty or more workers without using power in the manufacturing process need to be registered under the Factories Act, 1948.<\/p>\n<p>Any Person (Owner of the factory, occupier) who wants to construct, extend or take into use any building as a factory in Tamil Nadu needs to get a plan and permission approval to construct, extend, or use any building as a factory. It does not confer the ownership of property or land or permission for any other activities than for which it is issued.<\/p>\n<h4>Processing Time<\/h4>\n<p>Total time for closing of the application from the date of application for Tamil Nadu Factory Registration will be 30 days from the date of successful submission of application. The certificate for factory registration will be issued within 30 days of successful submission of application.<\/p>\n<h4>Validity Details<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The factory plan approval license granted under the factories act to construct or extend or using any building as a factory is valid for a lifetime from the date of issue.<\/li>\n<li>The factory license granted to carrying out business is valid for ten years from the date of issue.
